All ColorMaker chargers are UL approved and have a standard 2.1mm power jack. Table above indicated the charge time for each model of LED fixture. Not compatible means the charger will not charge the indicated fixture and should not be used. All chargers are rated for 4S cell 14.8 volt battery pack and should not be used to charge any other products other than ColorMaker line of LED fixtures.
Charger operation
Li-700 and Li-1800 Chargers have an LED indicator that shows the state of charge (Red) Charging and (Green) Fully Charged.
Li-3000 has a charge progress indicator that provides the level of charge with 4 green LEDS that show progress. When all 4 LED indicators are on the battery is fully charged.
Chargers may get hot during charge cycles which is normal. When charging place charger in open air to allow heat to dissipate.
Batteries
All ColorMaker batteries are assemble by ColorMaker from quality cells. All battery cells are double wrapped and electronically welded during assembly. The battery packs contain a protection circuit that prevent overcharge and undercharge. Use only ColorMaker chargers to maintain your ColorMaker LED fixtures. Battery packs have a life span of 500 cycles This means you can charge and discharge your fixture 500 times before you will need to replace battery. We design our fixtures to run at full RGB for 8 hours.
Every battery we build for our line of fixtures are tested then tested again. Our final test is a completed LED fixture that undergoes a runtime test in which we run fixture at full RGBAW using a computer to monitor the battery. Each battery has a unique serial number where we can track its progress during manufacturing to ensure the battery will be 100% when you receive your new fixture.
Replacement batteries
Fixtures battery pack can be replaced by the user. Some of our smaller fixtures were design without a battery compartment door and requires a disassembly of the fixture to replace battery and we recommend those fixtures to be returned for battery replacements to preserve warranty. Our larger fixtures PX5-300I and PX5-600I have battery doors and user can replace battery as needed without disassembly.
New replacement batteries can be purchased and/or we offer an exchange program where we will recycled the battery protection device from your depleted battery and save you replacement cost.

Li-ion Battery Care
Here is a good document if you want more details.
https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
Li-ion batteries are safe and require care if you want them to last. Here are a few pointer to get the most from your battery pack.
- Don't charge fixture if they are hot (above 110f or cold below 30f). This means if they have been sitting in the van/truck in the sun for hours wait until they have cooled before charging. This is also true in cold weather, don't charge if they are below freezing wait until they are room temperature before charging.
- Turn off fixtures power when you are done with event. This means don't reply on the internal battery protection circuit to turn off fixture off when battery has been discharged. Full cycle discharge will limit battery life.
- Use only ColorMaker chargers. Do not use Lead Acid Battery charger as used in older ColorMaker fixtures.
